“Clean Nature” Summer camp took place from 13-18 August 2013 in Dilijan, Armenia.
As the camp itself had an environmental thematic, the venue was chosen Dilijan.
Dilijan is a spa town in the Tavush Province of Armenia. It is one of the most important resorts of Armenia, situated in Dilijan National Park.
As a main idea we had chosen environmental education, but it aimed to combine environmental education, sportsman education and outdoor fun.
During the camp:
- Camper used a fun, hands-on approach to teach about the environment.
- Campers learnt outdoor skills as well as the essentials of backpacking and, camping .
- Campers came away with a life-long passion for nature and a dedication to stewardship of our natural resources.
- Campers explored Armenian diverse habitats, and learnt how human activities affect the environment. They solved challenges, learnt environmental concepts, practiced outdoor skills and spent the week immersed in nature.
At the end 6 participants were certified as the most active campers.
